51 students and faculty present research to the Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society

On Saturday, March 25, 2017, several representatives from the University of New England presented their work at the Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society’s Spring Meeting.
This year’s conference, “Innovations in Cancer Care,” included several educational sessions, selected podium presentations and a judged poster session. Three presentations featured 51 speakers.
Stacey Howard and Katie Michelsen of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2017 presented, “The Development of Algorithms for Rehabilitation of Cancer Treatment-related Sequale.” Their poster was awarded first place.
Amy Litterini, PT, D.P.T., assistant clinical professor, presented “A Pilot Home Exercise Program for Individuals with Advanced Cancer: A Case Series.”
Nicolas LaPlante, 51 Pharm.D. candidate, gave a platform and poster presentation titled, “Evaluation of Calcitonin Utilization in a Tertiary Healthcare Setting.”
